Wire that plugs into EGR valve?

Hi all I have a 1997 Civic with a d16y5 block and a y8 head swap. It seems there is no wire plugging into my egr valve, and all the pictures I see of others there is a wire plugged into it. Engine code is being set of for egr valve and I think it's because of this. Any information anyone can give me?

Uhh, find the wire and the plug and connect it. What else could be said? Have you bothered to look for it around the area?

I have and I can't find any loose wires or any connectors. I'm really confused about this.
