Wiring Problem ( EJ1 )

Well, has anyone experienced a problem when they apply the brakes when driving the stereo cuts out, as well as 60% of the time the speedometer drops ?
It has been bugging me, because the stereo comes right back on after it has been cut off, even if the brakes are still applied.

All my lights work, signals, highbeams, nothing affects the stereo or speedo .

Why does this sound so familiar....

Speedometer drops because of your speed sensor, try cleaning it and if that doesn't work get a new one from honda. I think it's a little over $100.

They have a write-up on honda-tech on how to fix the stereo thing but I'm too lazy to look for it right now, search around.

bro i have the SAME problems it hella annoying! your speedometer dropping is your speed sensor (VSS), and the stereo cutting out is either your battery not holding the charge, or your alternator is f**ked. bro i was driving today and my stereo kept on cutting out and my speedometer kept on falling like every second! at least now i now that im not the only one with these problems!

haha, good to know i'm not alone!!!

I have a replacement alternator, so i'm going to replace my battery and put the alternator in ASAP.
I'll search for it on Honda Tech aswell

Well heres the thing, the speedometer drops when my stereo cuts out. Before the stereo was cutting out, my speedo would cut out maybe once and a while, but it stays on now until i tap my breaks. I have a fuse in my car thats kindof just haning down by the fuse box, when i pull it out, the speedo doesn't work, it just goes up and down. I;m thinking theres a short in the system somewhere.

ya maybe, my speedo falls randomly and so do my stereo... but sometimes it does it at the same time but rarely.
