So I just picked up some new components for my hatch =)

6.5 Infinity Reference Components (front)
5.25 Infinity Kappa Coaxils (rear)
Two 10" Infinity Kappa Perfects (gunna run sealed box)
Audiobahn A8000T (800W rms x 1 @ 2 ohm)

I can't wait to install this s**t, I'm runnin the subs paralell off the audiobahn. So 400 RMS to each sub (the subs are 350 rms each). I gotta few amps layin around the room to power the speakers on, I'll probably run this lanzar 1600w (I know :( ) until I can upgrade to another audiobahn.

One little problem, my bro put this tape player in w/ no RCA outputs and the craptastic thing is still sittin there in my dash. (don't think sub has speaker level imputs)... So I guess I gotta wait an extra week till I get the money to get my Jensen VM9410 dvd player =)

yeah, I fooled around with one the other day and the screen was actually brighter and clearer than the pioneers and alpines:shock:

The only gripe I have (and many other people if you read the reviews) was the knobs feelin kinda shoddy....but f**k it, I never use the head unit's controls....I am in love with remotes=)

I just PM'd ya the link I'm buying it from, very reasonable price

Yeah, I was skeptical at first but when I was checkin it out a guy that worked there said they sold more of the jensens, and got less returns on defects than the alpines.

I'm not sure if it has that gay ebrake safety thing. I know alpines do, and they sell a switch to bypass it. I'm not sure if they sell ones for the jensen (if it even needs it) but I'm sure it is able to be bypassed.

haha thanks, it's quite the come up from 4 blown boston acoustic speakers, and only the front two play:lol:

Definately sucked when I sold my old honda w/ the system in it and went to cruising around in this shitty setup....should be good in about a week though =)

yeh the vehicle must be parked with the e brake on to use the screen as a video monitor...
and the 9510 comes with a tv tuner..

eh, I don't really care about a tv tuner. Shitty reception and you lose the signal all the time on channels that suck in the first place:lol:

god dammit, I'm trying to find a way to bypass the ebrake.

i think u'll find out if u'll need a bypass once u hook it up..this is what it says in circuit city..

Note: The vehicle must be in park with the emergency brake applied in order to use the screen as a video monitor.

Note: It is illegal to operate a video monitor in view of the driver for purposes other than navigation. The vehicle must be parked to play video games or watch movies.

if the jensen just requires a ground signal, tie that wire in with your ground wire in your harness. some decks require a positive and negative sequence (alpine) which can be bypassed by some toggles, or a PAC TR7. most manufacturers will be going the way pioneer did this year because of liability issues and putting in a speed sense wire, and a gyroscope.

Hence the high return rate on Alpine.
The jensen unit is actually fairly solid but in no way comparible to Alpine units. The only way I see a high return on Alpine is from diy"s

And you do know that Infinity makes amps now right
That doesn't necessarily make them a better match for my components...

The Audiobahn was waaayyy cleaner than the infinity in the same power range. The THD on the infinity 4-channel I was looking at SUCKED it was rated at <1% and as you know, that wouldn't be clean enough to delivery killer distortion-free power to my component speakers.

So yeah, I haven't gotten the 4 channel yet...but I wanted to stick with the same company for both amps to make a clean install.

Look for yourself, it was the same thing with two mono amps in the same power range....

Infinity Reference 611a
RMS: 456W x 1 @ 4 ohms
THD @ RMS: <1 %

Audiobahn A8000T
RMS: 400W x 1 @ 4 ohms
THD @ RMS: 0.02%

So just because it is the same company definately does not mean it would be a better setup

The last I looked Audiobahn does not adhere to CEA 2006 specs which require them to put on the true rating of an amp. I would really look into what ratings are true. Audiobahn claiming that they have the same distortion as a McIntosh or a Zapco is like a rat saying its hung like a bull.
Consumers Electronics has made the new 2006 requirements so componies like Audiobahn have to put the true ratings on its equipment. Having a thd of .02 at rms would mean at half volume it would be the best sq amp alive. And to tie into that thd rating whats the damping factor of the amp.
And I believe that the Infinity amps adhere to the 2006 ratings. So overlook the facts, the Audiobahn is not going to be as clean as the infinity.
Anyways if you want something dirty that packs a punch why not Memphis or Crossfire. Better amps for the price.

I didnt know so many Honda drivers are birds. Look at the pretty shiny thing must have it.
Your infinitys are a good set of speakers, do them justice and get a clean amp

Yup, you got me...I bought it solely cuz I thought it looked cool

hey, I got it for a good price....Once I install it, if I'm not happy I can always sell it and look at other amps:what:
