Anyone out there know how to convert the XM stereo in a 2005 Honda Accord to Sirius Satelite Radio.

I have an Audiobahn A1150 Headunit in my civic, which is XM ready. So, all I had to do was buy the receiver, which mounts under the center console and the antenna, plug everything in and I was ready to go. I don't have one of the outside displays, everything is controlled though the headunit.

Well, my mom wants to change from XM to Sirius, but the Accords are XM ready. What all do I need to do the conversion, but still keep the stock stereo?

Well if the headunit is XM only then you will have to buy a headunit with Sirius and then get a Sirius amplifier like your XM one.

Are you sure? The people at Sirius said that I could use the XM receiver that comes stock in the Accord

I kept hearing the Stern show talk about a "brain" switch module that will be available... when I have no idea...

If Sirius said that to you, can't they walk you through the process?

Most companies will tell you just about anything to sell you their product...

I'll check a few of my resources tonight and let you know if there is a way to do it, my guess is no, but thats just a guess.

If theres not a way to convert, theres always universal FM mod units. OR make a wired adapter using: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/sounsnhond3.html
