You didn't even make a poll. And you're considering getting a roof rack on a civic? No offense but how much stuff are you planning on putting in/on it?

i guess it doesnt really make much of a difference. they do the same thing. i believe the bars on a thule are square and the bars on a yakima are round :what:

here's my buddy's thules with fairing and without, they look good to me

*EDIT*
but you have a hatch right? so they arent going to look quite like those pics cuz of only having 2 doors

Yakima :thumbs up

I've never liked toolie and their square bars. Round Bars > Square Bars.

Wow. Is this the new trend? Yesterday I saw a hatchback driving around with one of those racks. Apparently he was making use of it, because he still had his snowboards on it... *shakes head*...

Thule pwns Yakima.

I've heard stories of Yak racks having their accessories pivot forward and back, occasionally launching equipment. Round bars allow this movement, square bars don't. Why do you think nuts and bolts aren't round?

Of course, any equipment that is installed properly will eliminate most of this problem, but there's still a chance. I think there's a few videos on you tube of Yakima fail

Its like Honda or Toyota. Both do the same thing, both have advantages. I have used Yakima on my Rovers and my Honda, I have no complaints with Yakima except they nickle and dime you for parts etc.
