I will be buying a 2000 Honda Civic SI ( Canadian verson )

this video shows how to install a short ram intake

is this video accurate and the tips at the end were he discusses putting a heat sheld peice of metal around it and the PVC piping ... is this a smart idea ???

I've seen alotta people not do that.

well, what you want to do is really straight forward. i got bored with the guy on the video, but i will say all you need is your intake.
you should buy a manual and read up, all kinds of good stuff in there. As for your intake, when you pop the hood, take it slow and really see how everything is put together. that is the best way to learn imo. and again, an intake is really simple, youll see. gl
