Zc pistons?

ok, a buddy of mine at work was tellin me that the pistons from an early 90's Zc which is the equivalent 2 a d16 but its dohc, will go right n2 a y7/y8 and up the comp ratio 2 somewhere in the middle 12's, is that tru? and if so has anyone done it for a daily driver? any problems

D series are 75mm bore, yes compression ratio with a y8 head will be super high, you will need to run higher octane fuel to keep from pining.

our gas around here sells 87, 89 and, 91 octane.....will 91 octane work alright with a turbo d? what octane is for racing 93?

some cities have VP racing fuel pumps, there you can get 112 octane leaded.
