you could always check nutrition facts online. most of the big chains have them on their websites.

i saw a pita pit for the first time in washington. there's one here, too, but only one. we'll have to go try it.

no smoothie kings near here. kinda looks like jamba juice, though, and jamba juice is ftw.

Pita pit is soo good.. especially their Chicken Caesar Pita.. mmm.

Smoothie King is really good and really good for you. The only thing is that smoothies can be high in calories, so you really have to watch what you get. But they do make for an effective occasional meal replacement.

i was looking at the turkey, ham, and roast beef. they have honey mustard, too... yummy! heh. i'm grateful for the suggestion. we'll definitely have to try this place. ;)

i love smoothies, but they are sooooo high in sugar. i would think they'd be a decent energy booster when you're burning a lot, but i can't imagine all that being healthy otherwise.

GOALS

I want a chest, pecks, biceps, triceps, 6 pack and quads. I don't want to be Arnold S, but I want to look "Swole" or "ripped"

i hope to no longer pant like crazy when going up a flight of stairs. I hope to feel better and look better on the outside.

I HOPE TO SAVE MONEY NOT EATING POINTLESS SNACKS LATE NIGHT!!!

All of this is as of today June 18, 2007. I hope in 10 weeks to be running 10 miles in one sitting

NO MORE SODA; I WANT TO HATE IT!!! I AM STARTING TO CATCH ON TO WATER AND I NOTICE THAT I LIKE TO DRINK STUFF JUST TO DRINK IT, SO WATER IS A GREAT SUBSTITUTE.

I know just eat a carrot or something.

WOW I feel good!!!!

Day Number 1 completed successfully! I did not have one drop of soda and I ate healthy all day!!! + I finally went to the Gym and why didn't I go sooner? Damn~!!! Eye Candy everywhere. Guys, I don't think I'll be needing motivation anymore because I found it. I can't believe I never thought beauties would be there. Wow, I can't wait untill tommorow. Here is what I did today

DAY 1 JUNE 18, 2007=)

Breakfast: Hearty bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats and 2% Milk.
Mid Morning: Water + Bag of carrots
Lunch: (Smart choice IMO) 2 chargrilled Wahoo Fish Tacos w/ not sauce. Black Beans and Rice
Mid Afternoon: Water + Granny Smith Apple
Dinner: Salad w/ no dressing (Actually tasted pretty good) and steamed beef, brocoli, carrots, potatoes (very little potatoes)

All in all I felt full all Day!!!

I went to the gym after dinner once my stomach settled and did a mixture of running / power walking. I ran up to 1.25 miles burning about 130 cals for about 16 minutes (according to the machine). I then did some curls, focusing on the upper body today.

Tommorow I want to run the same amount but at a faster time. 16 minutes sucks.

This is fun and I'm glad I'm doing this. I am so motivated now and since I'm accomplished one day with no soda (This has to be a record for me) I feel like I'm undefeated. I feel like I can't lose.

Let's just hope I feel this good when my coworkers say, "hey, marcus where going to Chipotle, you want to go?"'

WAIT, I still can go!!!

Smarter choices

NO BIG BURRITO W/ Everything on it and tons of sour cream and cheese and a large soda (refilled 2 while there too!)

No I can get a Burrito Bowl w/ lite sour creem and chese and Water

I probably would slash the calories dramatically! :D

Sorry to ramble, but one down and more to go! : )

thanks for the encouragement joe

question on coffee, i don't drink 8 cups a day, but if i stumble into work and i'm dead tired i'll have 1 or 2 cups...still bad for me? or is it only in excess? i know it dehydrates you, so i try to drink a couple glasses of water right after my cup of coffee

Maybe some people don't like physically feeling like s**t constantly? Maybe they aren't happy with the way they look? they atleast have the guts to post on here and ask for some help.

Then you stroll in with a comment like that, come on man.

Go be a douchebag somewhere else. These guys are trying to better themselves. Maybe you should try it.

Coffee isn't that bad it's what you put in it that's bad. Sugar and cream add up real fast.

(I just read this in the paper a couple days ago) As for dehydration, that's kind of a misconception. The amount you pee (coffee is a diuretic) out is still less than you took in. You'll notice Coke has picked up on this and is trying to sell sodas with the ploy that they're hydrating (they are but you're taking in mass amounts of sugar as well)

A rule of thumb for sugar intake is that 3grams = 1 teaspoon of sugar.
