aight, a couple breakfast recipes (some are variations of breakfast smoothies)
Banana split smoothie
1 banana
1/2 cup lowat vanilla yogurt
1/8 cup frozen orange guice concentrate
1/2 cup 1% milk
2 teaspoons whey powder
6 ice cubes crushed
PB&J smoothie
3/4 cup lowfat vanilla yogurt
3/4 cup 1% milk
2 teaspoons peanut butter
1 medium banana
1/2 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries
2 teaspoons whey powder
4 ice cubes crushed
quick and easy breakfasts
- 2 tablespoons of peanute butter on whole grain toast and 2 slices of canadian bacon
*OR*
- 1-3/4 cup of shredded wheat and bran w/ 1 cup 1% milk, 3 links of turkey sausage, and 1/2 cup of berries
*OR*
- 2 scrambled eggs, 2 slices of whole grain toast, 1 banana, an 1 cup 1% milk
*OR*
- 1 slice whole grain bread w/ 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, 1 medium orange, 1/2 cup of all-bran cereal w/ 1/2 cup of 1% milk and 1/2 cup berries
should you have extra time (weekends, etc.)
Egg Sandwich:
1 large whole egg
3 large egg whites
1 teaspoon ground flaxseed
2 slices whole wheet bread, toasted
1 slice canadian bacon
1 tomato sliced
1/2 cup orange juice
scramble the egg and egg whites in a bowl, add ground flaxseed to mixture. fry in a nonstick skillet spritzed w/ vegetable oil spray, and dump onto the toast. add bacon and tomatoes. drink juice

)
1-1/2 teaspoons low-fat cream cheese
1 whole wheet pita, halved to make 2 pockets
2 slices turkey or ham
lettuce or green vegetable
spread cream cheese in the pockets of the pita. stuff w/ meat and vegetables. put in mouth. chew. swallow.
