well, the brakes are done. Im looking for some ITR / CTR rear calipers (on the side as they are impossible to source) which would make the rear setup easier. Suspension is done. Just getting a rear lip and some ctr mirrors and then its time for the motor. I know it's taking a while, but i'd rather start off on a good base and THEN power.im not going to ask how, because i already know.
but i am going to ask when your actually going to stop buying stopping parts and start buying some GO parts.
Its:What you use for the rear? Looks pimp!!!
Well, I know why you might be saying that, but I still want to hear what YOUR thinking behind it.just be careful if you ever have to slam on your brakes
thanks for the concern. Fortunately the bias isnt too off because the front are 11.1", but I see your concern. I've done lots of road testing with the setup and so far no issues.its very easy to lock your rear wheels (especially on civics with no ABS), ive done it many times and mine are the smaller ones in your before picture. now that you have bigger rear disks your brakes will apply stronger in the rear because of the extra surface area the pads are applied to, therefore making it easier for them to lock. my rear wheels lock way before my front brakes do. remember, weight shifts to the front wheels when you apply brakes, so just be careful.
'very nice...probably a huge difference.
thanks, it actually wasnt THAT expensive.Very nice. Wish I had money for stuff............
Yea but that's if you already had rear disc brakes Some of us don'tthanks, it actually wasnt THAT expensive.
pads $30
rotors $70
bracket $50
So $150 for it all.
true true. Even rear disc isnt that expensive these days. Probably $300 total for setup like mine ($150 for conversion / $150 for 10.2" upgrade).Yea but that's if you already had rear disc brakes Some of us don't
