Hey guys'

I'm just wondering, since i'm pretty sure alot of you will have the same problem as me, for example.. i have the spoon duracon shift knob.. but once i installed it.. the OEM shift boot falls all the way down.. and its not aesthetically pleasing anymore' its like a metal stick ! kinda ugly' how do you all keep the shift boot from sliding down???

ive heard of some people using the twisty things that come with bread loafs. twisting it around the shifter then putting the boot over it. it wont let the boot slide down.

take the center console off. Cut a piece of rubber tubing big enough to fit around the "stick" and long enough to come up just under the knob.

Run the tube over the stick and it should be big enough to hold the boot up. Add knob and you're done.

or use a shitload of rubber bands.

Or just use black electrical tape and slide the boot over it, won't slide down, and won't rattle.:thumbs up

they actually make alil piece for this problem, it it goes over the shifter and has like 3 tabs on it that goes inside the top of the leather boot. It is made to stop the boot from goin all the way down to the bottom. Im almost positive mine came with my dc sports shift knob.
