Then why is the oxidization only on the front bumper...

Trust me, the bumper is only faded, theres more oxy than you can see, all the other plastic pieces are faded on the car too. I haven't even gotten a chance to polish the car. I'm serious this woman was about 70 years old, and had 6 cars. It was her husbands who died, this thing is pristine.

like I said ^..... just a some dull paint.... theres one dent on the whole car from a shopping cart on the fender. theres a distinct dent from it too.

nope, its a B16a3, just look at the block stamp. they didnt have a B16a2 back then, that motor was made for the 99-00 civic Si. if you do have a B16a2 it was swapped in.

dont worry, the b16a3 has the exact same specs as the a2. they were just made at different times.

Perhaps... I'm requesting a photo of the stamp on your block... Maybe Honda ran short of a3s and put an a2 in yours

just took that picture...seriously guys, this car is untouched, like I said in my first post of this thread there were cobwebs on the suspension, this car sat for so long its ridiculous. this woman was ooooollllddd and not too bright or wise at that. this thing was just sitting in her driveway. its insane!!!

seriously this lady has every single record ever for this car. I just looked at everything, and there isn't anything! I'm going to call her to see what if she knows anything, which i doubt she does...lol....this is insane....

i thought honda was making b16a2s back then for the EG6 SiR-II (VTi in some markets)... and if i'm not mistaken, the VIN on his EG2 should start with a J rather than a 1.

it should start with JHGEG2, am i correct? unless it was made in canada... then it should be 2HGEG2.... i don't believe any 3rd gen crx's were made in the us.
