i kinda want a curve does that count? Where'd you get a free one from Anf? What carrier?
BTW Anf I'm typing this from my laptop in my car using the pearl as a tethered modem. It's so badass

curves are BAD f**king ASS... only slightly wider and thicker than a pearl. as of right now, AT&T has a launch agreement with RIM, so they are the only carrier offering it right now. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean you can't buy a curve and use it on another carrier, such as t-mobile. i got my free pearl at www.letstalk.com... well, it was $50 down with a $50 mail-in rebate... but it's fast. i got the $50 check the other week.
as far as carriers go for blackberry, i prefer t-mobile because their add-on unlimited data blackberry plan is only $19.99/mo... i believe at&t charges $10 more per month. oh, and t-mobile has a promo plan going on right now too: you have to sign up before 7/31/07 to get this plan... it's the t-mobile get more 1000 plus promo... 1000 minutes, unlimited nights&weekends for $39.99/mo... that makes it ~$60/mo + taxes for 1000 minutes + free nights & weekeneds + unlimited internet... link here: http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/plans/detail.aspx?tp=tb1&id=aa538f98-5bb4-43bc-92af-c10ea534d504

does his peal give him the JVM error? if so that was the 1st batch of 8100's that were recalled, tell him to get the lastest update
word on the street is were comming out with a wifi blackberry, to link with T-mobiles hotspot @ home for 9.99, MS is also comming out with a touchscreen phone with RIM emulator, to go with the VOIP service

with bb messenger, you have to enter your buddy's blackberry PIN. it's that stranged short code in hex... btw, nice 88008800 FTW!!! i had this b4 it even came out for tmobile.
how do you work that daym bb messenger thang? my friend got a pearl and for somreason he cant recive my text its say still sending or somelike that
how are you liking that built-in GPS?well, the 8120 is coming out soon, and it'll have wifi... but from what i've heard, it's not gonna connect to @home... so far the @home phones completely suck. btw, you should join www.t-mobilesignal.com

that's odd that he cant' accept it. i would have him delete the entry and try the request again. btw, what OS version is he running? i know that 4.2.0.51, which shipped in the original t-mo pearls, is a bit buggy. he should upgrade to at least 4.2.0.64, which is what the t-mo pearls ship with. the at&t pearls are using 4.2.1.96 but i'm still reluctant to upgrade due to some bugs in that os.

thanks! the maps are cool u can strt gps and it will tell u how fast you are goin. but its kinda slow reponds i missed a t exits b4..lol i downloaded google maps to test it out i didnt like it that much it takes to much time to load but whats cool about google u can have satellite view or map view and u can find business and stuff. the otehr maps u cant do it. they also have this one called telenav its suppose to talk to you " turn left" "exit here" but thats and extra ten bucks a month.
