OC, I remembered seeing your cf autometer gauges and how you sent them in and had them replace the shiney shrouds w/ the black ones. Do you know how easy it is to take the shrouds off? I ask b/c I'm looking at making a cf panel w/ gauges right in front of the cup holders in the center console pocket. Yea, its not in the direct line of sight, but I just would like it to look more discreet.

its VERY hard to get the shrowd off and then back on.. the bezel is like aluminum and i think they have some kind of press to press the bezel on...

that spot you want to use is good the ONLY complaint i have about that is at that angle it may be hard to judge the position of the needle..

Thanks for the advice OC. Could you pm me roughly the price they charged you for that service? That is if u think they would do it for me. Also, good point about it being harder to see the needles. I have thought about that and am thinking about having digital gauges w/ an actual numerical read out. I looked at a really cool multigauge setup that is pretty much programable for limits w/ warnings, datalogging etc... Its unfortunately really expensive compared to normal gauges, so I'll prolly stick w/ something like what you have.

well i dont know if the gauge you describe would even be more.. when you factor in that i have close to $900 in gauges (without counting the vafc)... and thats PRIOR to the bezel replacement... with the fees from autometer i have over a grand in gauges..
