yeah i would really like to just do the middle, but then having the stock bulbs in the tails would be mismatched when they light up

When I was 16 I thought that the brake bulbs that had the LED's that rotated were tight as f***, but now that I'm older and trends change I think rice.

I know that's why people do things to their cars because it makes them different and unique from other cars on the road, but doing things like that can get kind of "cheesy".

Any ideas? on what would look nice?

^ of course over-doing it will make it look cheesy, and i do agree to some extent that led tail lights can be cheesy or ricey.... but dam i see all these infinity's and cadillacs etc on the roads with their badass led tail lights..... i do believe its possible to do without becoming ricey, any thoughts?

Well I would do it since my spoiler light is led's, I need after market tails though before i would do it. It all depends on how it's done really. But it's something I wouldn't mind doing. If I had the time to do it

You know that's probably what it is. Honestly I wouldn't mind putting some LED brake lights on an Infinity. Infinity's (or any newer car) look high tech from the factory. Putting something cool on it just adds to the effect of it. But in our case our civics are looked at as less expensive so putting that stuff on there doesn't make them look good.

I had those LED taillight bulbs when I had my legend back in 01. Since it looked like a new car everyone's jaws dropped when I rolled by. I miss those days.

Sadly, it depends on the car. I wouldn't mind putting those LED brake lights on a brand new Acura or Infinity, but I'll stick with stock on my 4th gen. It's like cheap car with all these mods don't impress anyone (except some with similiar interests maybe).

^ yeah that pretty much sums it up... newer cars have fitting looks when it comes to led features, but i'm gonna still do the center brake light anyway! lol well as soon as i figure how to take it apart

hey, just reading your sig about DIY projects. Have you seen the thread about the $50 dollar paint job. I am thinking about it. What do I have to lose other than $50, my time, and practicing on an old car? Sounds tempting...

yeah i've seen that one, the one with the rollers right? i believe that's the right one. it actually sounds tempting to me as well... but the biggest part is to find a nice oem looking sparkley color paint... i'm not sure what rustoleum has to offer but im assuming their actual paint isnt what you expect a car to have, maybe flatter? unless you want that flat look.... but then again i haven't looked at their selection so i can't say.

other than that it seems pretty easy, sounds easier than spraying it on.... at least the way it was described. so if youre trying it out theres actually not much to loose if you practice on an old car and perfect it

there's a lot of aspects about this DIY that i like...from a standpoint of saving money to doing yourself and the hassle free masking off your whole garage lol

I'm actually thinking of getting some amber LED turn signal bulbs for my rear blinkers from autolumination.com...they have the ones that fold up so that you can fit it in there and then they pop open to a ncie wide strip.

Are you kidding me? A 2nd Gen legend Sedan is bad ass! Not so much anymore as it was 6 years ago. Honestly, if I could find one in decent shape and not too many miles in the color I had (Pearl White) I would sell my 4th gen and give up on my civic in a heartbeat. They are nice cars. Mainly used it for cruising around and I'm talking a younger crowd jaws dropping. That car got me so much ass it was not even funny. The only reason I dont have it is because it got totalled by a hail storm in 04 ($9000 worth of damage!) or else I honestly would still be driving it.

My car was a 91 and the generation was made from 91-95. So if you go off the 95 year my generation of car was only 6 years old. Not bad for a 17 year old kid. Most people thought it was like a 2000 so I loved that.

 I miss it
