i would not reccoment running just a base map for a long time, maybe just to get you to a tuner, just run low boost or none.

lol, thats exactly what he was asking...

in theory, it should work. but without knowing how close your afrs are to being dead on, i wouldnt do it. just wait and do it all at once, then immediately get it tuned

I don't see why you would run a turbo map on a N/A car.. it makes no sense.

With a basemap you shouldn't be driving your car all around, it's just for you to drive directly to your tuner to get it tuned.

basemap doesn't have maps for +1 psi for fuel and timming...detonation = no engine.

You can in theory drive the car on a bigger injector basemap. I wouldn't call it a boost basemap, but a basemap scaled for bigger injectors and boost tables added you could get away with.

Way back in the day I drove for almost 6 months on a basemap with the stock o2 sensor still enabled.

i have already figured out what i was going to do about this situation im getting a chip made just to compensate for the larger injectors on the stock motor and i am going to get a chip for the turbo setup and install that chip when i install the turbo.

you will still have to go to a tuner to get it tuned.
