dsm injectors

ive seen people post how to install dsm injectors to civics and etc. however i have a b18c1 in my hatch. Do i really have to rewire the wire and cut them? because the dsm injector i have just needed to be clip and it bolt right in for my b18c1 obd1. can anyone help me with this issue? also it overflow my car when i tried to start..i guess i gotta tune it before putting them in?

hmm..i think for OBD1 you have to put resistors on each injector......also yes you have to tune it b4 putting them in....otherwise your ecu still thinks its getting the stock injector size....

you don't have to tune the car before putting the injectors in. But you will need resistors inline with the yellow wires to the clips. I think obd1 clips plug right into the dsm injectors though. Although you may need to get dsm clips.

you have to retune the ECU to read the right amount of CC's though otherwise the ECU will read the stock injectors....sure you can put them in but the car will run like complete s**t if it would even run

no it won't. Chaos do you even have a running motor with dsm injectors? I do, I would know first hand. They don't run all that bad. sure in the long run you will need a tune. But not before you install the injectors.

im with chaos. you need to retune. just cause its working does not mean its working right. what are stock injectors size 240cc or something? what are dsm injectors... 450cc. so without tuning you have effectively doubled your fuel injection rates

I know a few people that have installed DSM injectors and THEN gone and had everything tuned. You dont necessarily need to tune before hand. Sure it may run like s**t, but hey it might not. Who knows, just depends on your setup..

wtf are you guys talking about? there is a such thing as harm coming to your engine from running too rich, and 2x normal is running too rich

dsm injectors flow different then civic injectors, you can use a resistor box out of an older accord or integra,it looks way cleaner than putting in inline resistors, you can go to your tuner and get a basemap for what you have installed on your car so you can drive it to get it tuned or if there is a tuner in your area that does street tuning, they can meet you and make the basemap for you at your house, i would not drive the car around at all without having at least a basemap for the mods that you have so you dont do anything to your engine.
