Turbo kits

Guys - I'm looking for a turbo kit for my D16Z6 and I found some news kits (many) on eBay just for 700-900 USD. It looks so cheap, are they good? Maybe you'll need more info to answer this question, but price doesn't give an idea?
I don't no much about this stuff and also I live outside of USA, so your help is appreciated.

i have a Ebay kit and i made 281whp and 225 trq on 12psi in a D16 SOHC ive had the turbo kit on for about 9 month and it doesnt smoke and spools up good the only diffrence mine is NOT SSautochrome or XSpower mine is a chineese brand from ebay with a cast iron manifold so i dont have to worry about the manifold cracking. IMO is not bad for the price.

yes i did ran the car at the track and the 1st run spun all 1st gear and 1/2 of 2nd and i ran a 9.4 in the 1/8th mile im sure with a nice set of slicks i should be in the lower 8's the kit is the one that comes with the cast iron manifold i think it was 650.00 and im tuned with chrome gold. is a non name brand is a t3t4 57 trim. i have made some changes since i 1st got it but the turbo and the manifold still in good condition IMO you can put your kit together for less than 400.00

i think that dyno needs to be recalibrated...

why do you say that? you dont even know what i have in the engine for your info the engine is fully build i have seen ebay kits put 400hp on fully build SOHC so before you go calling someone a liar ask what the mods are that are supporting the #s.
Heres my mods to the engine
z6 block bored .20 over, 8.9:1 srp pistons, eagle h-beams, block guard, cosmetic headgaskit, 3 angle valve job, cast manifold,srt-4 fmic,custom charge lines & exhaust,greddy electronic boost controller,AEM uego wideband,GM 3-bar map sensor,RC550's, walboro 255 fuel pump,1g dsm bov,greddy catch can, 8lbs flywheel, mugen short shifter, 6 puck stg-3 clutch, t3 57trim turbo .50/.63 AR. tuned with crome-pro

lower compression than stock, with a stock head and cam...

ya, there is no way you are making that whp on only 12psi

i dont care what your dyno sheet says. like i said, that dyno is reading high. at 12psi on a eBay t3/t4, a sohc will not make that power. the numbers are inflated, plain and simple. even if its crank hp, they still seem high

by the way i found this so you see that it is possible to get good #rs off a D series engine

i NEVER said d-series motors couldnt make power, did i? i said that with your setup, they will not make that power at 12psi

look at the numbers i highlighted, an SC50 is a hell of a lot bigger turbo than your ching chong meow one, and he is making less than you claim at a hight boost level.

my brother makes 240whp/214wtq on a D17a2 100% stock engine.
i believe that was at 11 or 12 psi..

made 214whp/194wtq @ 9 psi(i believe)

Yea i would stay away from ebay turbo kits. I would just piece together a turbo kit.
