so i am in the process of chipping my OBD1 P72.

and, i noticed, it doesn't have a R54 place for resistor.
so i searched the ECU and cant find it.

any one have a clue why its not there.
so i do not have to worry about installing one?

R52 no, R54 was the one that needs one, when it has a spot for one.

when did you get a 5th gen?

Not too bad man. The only thing I would suggest is to fill the 20 pin chip in a bit more with solder. Ultimately you would like to get a good flow the whole way through the board. If you look at that chip on the top, you can tell it doesn't get solder to the top of the board, which is ultimately what you would like to do. To fix this you can just add a touch more heat and give it a little more solder. I am sure the ecu will work fine though, just some words of advice for the future. But other than that, it looks pretty clean.
