So I just bougtht a Escort Passport 8500 X50 radar detector. I plugged it in, works fine, but theres a bunch of stuff on the program menu that I got no idea what it means. If anyone can give me some pointers on what I should have on, off, and other settings that would be appreciated. I'm going to read the manual but personal experience is always nice.

I can prob guess a bunch of them are different bands, like different type of radars and stuff. Does it switch a bit while you're driving?

Does what switch when I'm driving? I can choose highway and city mode, and then I have a bunch of bands I can turn on/off. I havent driven yet, but I will be going tonight. All the types of radars are turned on accept something called POP is off, I didnt want to toy with anything so I left it the way it was. Should I turn POP on?
