installing aftermarket wheel ?'s

hey i am going to install an aftermarket steering wheel into my 97 civic dx. i was just gunna wing it but is there an actual write up out there that i have not been able to find that will guide me through this? also i was wondering if when i do this will i get a srs light that will be on and if so how will i get rid of it?

its not hard at all, on a scale of 1-10 id say 4. the only special thing you need is a star tool to be able to take off the steering wheel airbag and if its on tight a steering wheel puller offer thing, they should have them at the local auto store. but make sure before you start to disconnect the battery, you dont wanna have the airbag deploy in the middle of your install. before you tale the wheel off make sure you alighn it straight so yo know where to put your new one. before putting on the new hub make sure yo put some grease on it. the bolt that holds the wheel on is the same size as your lug nuts. umm its pretty straight forward, if you have any kind of mental mechanics it should take about 1-2 hrs with the right tools.

done really easy now just to get rid of the srs light i bridged in a resister but i just need to figure out how to reset it.

someone just made a how to reset the srs light thread... cant remember EXACTLY where i saw it though, but it probably wont work since its missing the whole component... worth a shot though.

I personally just deal with mine, my dual gauge pod, gauge surround covers half of it anyway, so ive gotten used to it.
