Are all Neons slow or what?

we try to stick to reality here.. yes.. its true MANY neons suck.. but there are quite a few STOCK that would probably DESTROY you in a race... so when you make a thread thats THIS absurd.. people will hate on you.. a lot of us here actually put in a lot of time and money to make our cars faster.. in a lot of cases fast enough to beat cars like the srt... so when someone with a stock auto civic mocks a car that is relatively fast in stock form it annoys us because it makes the rest of us look stupid.. the reason is simple.. you are part of club civic by being a member.. therfore others who view this board look at your statement and judge us based on you... they see "ricer with auto civic talking about beating a quick factory turbo car" and it just lessens the over all image of the board, and well we dont like that.. so you are more than welcome to be a member here.. just try to learn a little more about what you are talking about before you post crazy fantasy stories.. you are right about one thing.. there is a LOT of s**t talking in this thread.. and that is generally against the rules.. but you kind of brought it on yourself..
so in closing you will try to not post such ridiculous s**t.. and we (club civic) will try to not be mean to you..

wow..there really was alot of s**t talk lol. I do side with the kid, i don't think he was actually refering to beating the SRT, but the other way around (which i'm sure we all know now so i'ma shut up about that). to give you a hint of how these SRTs are. at the local car meet theres about 4 of them. one pushing about.. 581hp and another pushing almost 680 to 710. the one thats about 581 sounds like a diesel F350 truck and that one ate my friends turboed EM1, and gave another 300Z a run for its money. SRT 4s like Civics can be modded to do alot. Before you go off racing and what not, do research on the others and the possiblities that they have. i'm sure everyone else here has at least done that once or twice.
No matter how you put it. No matter how you see it. No matter how you modify it. An SRT-4 is a neon. Plain and simple. And 1word.... Ugly.
And to answer the thread's main title, yes, neon's are slow. SRT-4's are quick, and can be fast when tuned and modified more heavily. An old high school buddy of mine has his running mid 13's now. And he wants more boost.

i like that u separated quick and fast into different categories.
but i get the impression that mid 13's to you, is fast. am i right?
i used to think that 13s were fast.. then i went to a few back woods races where they trailored in 9second race cars... 13s are NOT fast at all imo.. quick for a daily driver.. sure.. fast.. no
i also seperate fast and quick..
You can be quick without being fast.
Anyways, I feel that 13's is decently fast. But I wouldn't consider it flat out "fast". Most cars today can run 13's and 14's stock so I wouldn't consider it fast anymore. I used to though a long time ago.
