96-98 ftw or 99-00ftw

im seeing more and more 99-00 on ej8 front ends would you guys call them played out...the car im receving has a 96-98 front end on it i was thinking about upgrading but im not too sure now since they are played out. this is what id do if i got a 99-00 front end

- real CTR headlights
-4300k hids
-CTR Grill
-Front Mugen Lip
-99-00 Fog lights
-CF Hood

This goes against my beliefs, but if you have a 96-98, keep it a 96-98. I've been seeing this more and more, but it bothers me a lot when I see 99-00 taillights on 96-98 with the stock front end. They just don't mix. I tend to recommend 99-00 front end conversions just because I'm biased and like them more (not to mention I have a 99 coupe). But just stay 96-98.

And don't get plug and play HID's. Terrible cut-offs that make people go blind.

keep the 96-98.

If i could do it cheap, id go back to a 96-98, just to piss everyone off that bitches about them.

I personally like them more, simply, because they arent as played.

What he meant, is dont get HID bulbs/ballasts, etc. and just throw them in the stock housings. HID's are USELESS and dangerous to oncomming motorists in OE housings without a projector. It spreads light EVERYWHERE, and you get glare like a mother, losing half of the useable light since its not directed properly.

keep the 96-98 front end. and don't forget they had Type R stuff for the 96-98 before they had it for 99-00 so you can get them REAL for that front too. that's what I did. Personally I don't think it's worth the hassle to swap the front.

the more i've thought about it, i love my 98. the 99-00 are clean and theres just as much cool stuff for them, but i've decided that the next civic i buy, if i have the choice, i'll go 96-98...that is unless theres an si. (then maybe ill to a 96-98 conversion just to confuse people.)

i got this setup with 8000k HIDs, i tell you if you can do it for less than $1000 your okay, if not its not worth it, about the played out part your gonna see a lot of civics look a like, so i dont think its played out, it simply nicer (99-00 front end), but thats my opinion, you shouldnt take your decision by what everybody thinks, is how you would like your car 2 b, askin 4 advice if 2 do it or not means that you are insecure, come on make up your damn mind (remember your the one thats gonna drive it), on the hids, i really dont know much about them but i got kinda blueish 8000k on my ctr headlights, and yellow on my fogs!!

2 be original is to make up your on concept even if it looks a like another!!!-

you need to retrofit the projectors form another car, or buy aftermarket projector headlights.

i seen the aftermarket projector lights before but i dont really like them that much so what car would you think would have the best hids im looking for more white with a paradox with blue and purple

4300k hids for WHITE light, and most output to see.

search. there are many threads on HIDS, retrofits and projectors, on this forum and others.

I would stay with the 96-98 front end. Just get some SiR headlights, SiR front lip and the square fogs and you are good to go.

the car im getting has the yellow fogs but stock headlights and ctr grill but i might change up its a big maybe
