can i make bov louder?

eh, i know theres a thread kinda about this but i dont know if theres something wrong or...i just dont know.

ok well to start off i have a blitz bov. theres supposedly a 9 lb spring in it also. well when i get on it, the bov isnt loud at all, usually ill take it up to about 5-7 psi and the bov just makes a quick psh, and i can barely hear it. is there any way i can adjust something so its louder, or i can make the duration of it longer? do i need to get a lesser lb spring?

I personally prefer the greddy rs bov. Some bovs are loud, some arent.

you have a 9 pound spring in your blow off valve. you are running between 5 and 7 psi. if the spring is set to open fully at 9 pounds, logic would have it that it would open less at 5 or 7 pounds (coupled with less air pressure is less air flow, another key ingredient for sound), causing a quieter sound. there are 2 cures for this situation, either get a spring made for the boost you are running, or run more boost, and you will make more noise.

i have a Evo 8 BOV and i love it. it's a lot louder once it's not recirculated. i might be interested in a trade if you are, maybe a little cash too.

keep the blitz bov.. I have one and it sounds much better at higher boost.. I remember mine sounded weak when i was a 6 psi.. Now im at 11 psi and it sounds much better. Not loud though but a nice flutter.

werd, what turbo? i'm running 9-11 psi on my z6 and it's holding up fine. my favorite target is v8 camaros what's your best time?

the blitz isn't designed to be loud, its designed to be functional. blitz makes high end products, so if i were you i would keep it. not to say HKS doesn't, im just more a fan of blitz. but if you want loud, get a greddy or HKS. some describe the blitz as "a silent whoosh"

What engine management are you running??? What fuel setup do you have??? I have a z6 motor going in my coupe with 450cc injectors and a crome tune that I will be running 10lbs on.
