I found out how to get the DIY gauges to come out evenly and not have like 1 of the 5 bulbs all bright and s**t
I used 4 bulb #24 in oem amber and 1 #194NA in oem amber and they come out evenly in color
My needles are blood red and i dont know why you cant see them in the pic trust me the are red like before just didn't show up in the pic

before

after

For some reason the before and after picture look the same; if not the after looks worse than the before. Maybe it's just me... :what:

All you did was replace the original bulbs with amber colored ones (non-LED)?

are you blind man? the 2nd pic was taken with a shitty camera and the red needles didn't show up
look at the color difference in the high rpm part of the gauges and the low mph part of the gauges in the first pic the color is way off

lol old news man :P

When i did the DIY gauges, i posted a thread about it, and told everyone to use halogen OEM replacement bulbs, not LED's

But good job! Looks good, Has a striking resemblence. Only, i did my climate control as well.

i cant remember exactly, but i got mine from some internet site that sold strictly automotive lighting.

And to those complaining about it being "dull" or "dark", its just his camera. Mine are actually just as bright as OE and i only have the adjustment turned up about half way.

Its a b***h to see my needles at night though, since i ditched the overhead lighting

the climate control is a b***h to take out... the glove box has to come out, the lower dash under the drivers has to come out, the radio (if its located up there) has to come out, the center console should be taken out for ease of removing bolts, the ash tray has to come out... theres surprisingly enough, ALOT of hidden bolts on that damn thing.

It took me about an hour and a half just to figure out how to get the damn thing out.

Once its out, its cake.

BTW: The whole black center area with cilmate control and everything has to come out.

I have a 96 so my climate control knobs are a little different then yours, not sure exactly how yours will be replaced once its out.

99-00 Climate control is easy as hell. Once you can get to the area under the climate controls, theres only 4 bolts, and it pops right out of the dash. :what:
