so i made 155whp and 146wtrq on a bone stock d15b7 with 9psi on a .57trim. does this seem a little low or is it just the b7 limiting me. i was told by the person that dynoed my car that a mini me swap would put me up in the 185 whp rang. any thoughts on this

id say its low, only 40 or 50 hp from stock form and your pushing 9psi from a 57 trim turbo? what are you using to tune it? compression numbers?

it was tuned with crome pro i dont know what the comp numbers are the guy that tuned my car did the comp test. i mean the car don't smoke or anything. I thought the numbers were low myself. the guy that tuned it said it it was low b/c it was on a dyno jet, he said the numbers would be bout 15-20whp on a diff dyno. i was hopping for the 170ish myself. i just dont know. the afrs are 14ish out of boost and a real steady 12ish in boost. im lost im mean i see ppl evey where runnin same set up and push anywhere between 170-220 and similar boost levels.

doesn't seem low for a d15. Seems about right actually.

really. so basically it is the head that is limiting me right. if i did a mini me it would probably make up most of the difference in power right.

what kind of exhaust are you running? if you have a stock exhaust, that is why your numbers are low. stock exhaust + big turbo on little engine= low hp numbers.

i cant see that engine lasting long on a stock d15b7 at 9psi

if it does props to u

and yeah i think 150 sounds right to me, its a pretty slow engine in the first place

stock numbers are rated at the crank. hes posting numbers rated at the wheels. so after you figure in the drivetrain loss, im pretty sure hes about right on the power.

so figure it from ~82-~86whp thats only a ~70whp gain. with that big of a turbo (for hondas) he should be closer to 180whp.

you want more power? i would have the thing tuned right. the waves in the graph is scary. get it tuned and im sure it can make more, but you are not going to gain 100whp on 9lbs of boost on a stock honda engine.

I think runnin 9lbs on a stock b7 is alittle high with a bigger turbo, of course I could be wrong.. I dont think your motor will beable to handle it for a long period of time unless you drive it easy a good deal of the time.. Also you wouldnt have to swap heads to make that big of a difference.. Port and polishing your head would help with the more air flow an such.. But yeah 155whp sounds alright to me because your losing some at the crank and remember its all stock too..

I'd personaly wouldn't go any higher in HP. That engine is about maxed out. (stock rods).
