I have a b16a, I want it stronger that a k20, So the legal way to go is turbo, But which turbo setup makes more power a greddy or Edelbrock turbo kit? Plus how much horsepower does each of these kits boost?

not too much more though. The price vs. the advantages of the Edelbrock kit aren't worth it IMO.

yea, if you throw the blue box in the trash and get it chipped and tuned, 200+ is achievable.

it dont have the turbo kit yet, but i just wanted to know which one of the two legal ones could produce more power, and yea i was planning on throwing out the box and getting it tuned. I think the greddy comes with 310 cc injectors for the 00 civic si. I have also heard that turbo doesnt kick in till like around 4500 rpm. so anything under that is like running a stock engine, so u could save on gas just like a stock engine with no turbo would, just wondering if thats true.

Yeah I would go with greddy because of the price difference although you get an intercooler, and several other things with the edelbrock kit that you dont get with the greddy kit.. But I would prolly go with the greddy unless I had enough bank to beable to get the edelbrock kit....

I would go with greddy from experience, plus the fact they have been around a lot longer.

edlebrock gets more hp, k20 civic would just toy with a stock b16 greddy turbo

Well at the moment i got around 3000 to spend on a turbo kit, I plan on getting a bov and intercooler, i just wanted to get a kit with a carb number, I know legal kits dont produce that much power as if it was one of that wasnt carb legal and has a big turbo. at the moment i got a close to stock b16a2 but planning on getting a b16b, I was thinking that probably the edelbrock might produce more power because of the price but greddy has been known for good parts, according to some of my friends. I was thinking of greddy because i got a greddy catback, But wanted to see which one would produce the most power out of a stock engine.

Well at the moment i beleive that my stock b16a2 has bad rings because it eats a s**t load of oil, have to put in like a quart of oil almost every week, but i travel like 30 miles a day back and forth from school each day, so i got enough saved up for a b16b, and another 3000 for turbo. maybe alittle bit more depending on the price of the type r motor. I know i could just buy a new car, but i like my car, it was even able to beat like 2 gsr plus 1 type r with a driver who didnt know how to use that engine, lol. I broke like 14.7 with my latest run at the track, but i think it wasnt running at full power because the rings were damaged, and I wasnt getting full compression from the pistons, So i thats why i wanted to get another engine and add turbo, maybe i might be faster.
