Speedometer problem or what?

Um uncle just called to see if I could figure out if anyone has an experience regarding their Speedometer acting weird?

The problem is when he puts in the key and turns it to ACC mode (engine not on yet) the speedometer starts moving up to 20KM/H. Obviously it shouldn't be doing anything.

If anyone has any experiences like this, it'll be great if you can suggest a cause for this. Could it be some sensor is broken, etc?

i dont think it's broken, my friend had his tacho and speedo jump up each time he put in acc. and they worked just fine.

its not completely broken yet! pretty soon it will start fuking up wen he drives, the vss connection will get weaker and weaker till u need a new sensor

yes its the vss go to a junk yard and get one for like 40$
