First off, im not sure is this is the right section but i assume im ok..

anyways, whenever i first start my car and turn my lights on..they seem a little dim and not as bright as they should be..but i notice that if i go up to higher rpm then they get brighter. This happens whenever i take it up to 4500 rpm or higher...

anyone know whats up or have experience with something like this?

yea brand new battery too..the alternator was professionally installed so im gonna assume it was done right...the alternator is for a d-series. i have a b18c but i dont think that would effect anything. do you agree? should i be worried about this?

my h22 has done this since day one.

Ive been through mulitple batteries and a new alternator, its always done it.

It dims from 2000 and below.

After 2000rpm in 1st/2nd they get normal, and in 3rd/4th/5th no matter what rpm they are fine.

Its probably just the belt slipping a little since the car is under more load in those rpms/gears.

Its nothing to worry about. Like i said, mines been doing it for almost 2 years now lol

my vote goes to a bad electrical ground, probably the battery's or the alternator's

Gonna have to go with LongGrain and Mugenkid, it's something in the battery/alt system.

like veryone i ahd the same problem but min was just both the battery being rejected, and a poor alternator it would charge but not above 12.5, used alternators are 30 dollars here:P

yea i never use used alternators or remanufactured ones..i only prefer brand new ones...

anyways i fixed this problem..i was having other problems with electrical load detector code and i electrical taped engine wiring harness because honda didnt tape all the wires up and they get hot underneath the intake mani and can melt the coating and fray wires..it cleared all my CELs and my lighting is all good now (thanks to the knowlege of civic98 turbo...genius)

so guys maybe try going through and taping up any exposed wire...cuz that can cause a ton of messes

if you have subs get a capacitor..

you may wanna look into getting a grounding system for your car. it will help stabilize the electrical system of your car along w/ your engine
