My civic MB6

guys ive just lowered my civic on Koni springs and koni adjustable shocks, looks really nice and feels good to drive on even and leveled road. Ive currently set the rear and front shocks to the softest settings.

However im begining to get annoyed at the fact that majority of the streets here in the UK are crap and everytime i drive over speed humps it hits under the car, mostly likely the oil pan. I cant be driving like this anymore before I do some damage to the car. Currently the car is lowered down to 60mm, shall i get springs which are in the range of 30-40mm (though it wont make alot of difference in height wise i.e. it will look like its on standard height, because these cars tend to be high up on standard springs) or shall i just put my standard springs back on, and leave the Koni Adjustable shocks on. Any taughts before i go ahead with this?

below is the link to see my car...

It rides really nice, very smooth on the 'soft' settings on the shocks, toke it on the race track, had my settings on 'firm'.. grips the track very nicely and handles suberbly ;)

Only down side at the moment is on streets it hits my car underneath when I go over a speed hump.. I been told to have my front shocks on 'firm' which may prevent this, havent tried it yet because I leave my shocks on 'soft' for streets, any taughts on this?

Im considering on taking my Koni springs off and replacing them with coilovers and leaving my Koni Shocks on... i wana raise the car up slightly for street driving and then i can lower it when on race tracks...... wud u recommend coilovers as a gud idea with the Koni Shocks?

Happy New Year to you guys =)

I have sorted the front tow thing and it doesnt seem to be scrapeing that no more over bumps, however when i drive over biger speed bumps, it slightly scrapes the manifold.

Anyways you can get these stuff called 'spring adjusters' which is suitable for cars driving under heavy load. I feel that this would solve the problem. But before I get some, what do you guys rekon? any advice?

I have also come across this american site http://www.budzter.com/, which supply 'spring adjusters' or 'spring spacers'??????

what do you guys think?

All help is much appreciated

i think its the lip and middle hittin not the oil pan. the motors between the wheels. when you go over a bump, it gets lifted and clears the bump.

tyr drivin sideways. if that doesntg work use washers as "spacers" right between the strut and frame

I drive in a angle whenever i go over hefty bumps, but im 99% sure its scraping the manifold, and not the lip. I jacked the car up and the manifold does have slight scrape marks.

When you say use washers as spacers right between the strut and frame, could you give me more info on this
