cd player NEED help

okay guys, i bought an ALPINE 9881 cd deck for my 98 civic... i bought a new wiring harness and saudered the wires, taped them, and put the ground to a metal.. and it doesnot work... i just bought new fuses.. put them in and it still doesnt work.. im stuck because i have installed these before.. any suggestions??

or just go thru all the wires again

apparently you still need to learn more.
test all the wires, test to make sure you do have it wired to a grounded source not all metal in the car is grounded, if that doesnt work test the cd player, and if that works then you have something bad in the wiring.

fyi do not tape anything, use heat shrink tubing

this happened to me, ended up the previous owner cut the wires back further in the dash and they came out

as a small test i would hook up just the power, ground and ignition wire and see if the deck even turns on.

solder and tape is a good connection

solder and heatshrink if you have the time is the best
