i know this has been posted but since the one i saw is a different dashboard...il post this anyway..
besides it my first DIY hehehe
im open for comments

remove the driver dashboard lower cover (see the location for the screws and bolt including clips)

i tried to organize the screws and bolts using some paper cups

next is removing the glove box

.. just like eating noodles!

then the center dashboard lower cover
(2 screw both side and 2 in the middle)

we can now remove the Stock HU... with 2 screws at the bottom of the stock HU. just ,make sure to detach the wire connections =)

break...

this happens when its your first time hehehe

with the guide of the circuit diagram found on the service manual, these wires were like old friends to me..

and referring to the new HU manual.. the installation guide is easy to follow...

before you install the new HU...make sure that the wires are carefully organized for future plans...

7.so its done...

8. .. installation is the reverse of removal..

indeed it was way too much work but if i didnt remove the driver dashboard lower cover and glove box, there is no way i can remove the screws on the center dashboard lower cover as seen on the image...

in the service manual...the dash was categorized as 96-98 however, this one is 99..i think this type of civic is from canadian specs...or something (im not sure)
