its 127hp and if you didn't notice thats only 21hp but thats will all the other components of a ex motor not just the head i think you looking to get 15 at best because the y8 dynos at 107 and the y7 dynos at likeThe oil is like that b/c its been sitting for awhile. Its normal. If it dosent add 28hp, then how come a Y7 is 106hp, and a Y8 is 128hp or so....?
if you throw a cam in there while that head is off, your vtec will roar my friendYea, the head has 86,000 miles on it, and the oil is BLACK. When I pulled the Vtec solinoid off to clean it out, it was really black and runny. I really dont feel like pulling out the valves and whatnot, b/c I dont want to take the chance of them not seating properly after its all said and done. With only doing the intake/exhaust ports, it'll just flow abit better. It wont add tremendus gains, but then agian, Im not looking for any big numbers right now.
Im already running Y8 internals, so my CR is bumped up alittle compared to the Y7. But, like Ive said before, Im not looking to get huge numbers. Eventually Im gonna be boosting, and theres just about NO aftermarket support for the Y7 head.....its 127hp and if you didn't notice thats only 21hp but thats will all the other components of a ex motor not just the head i think you looking to get 15 at best because the y8 dynos at 107 and the y7 dynos at like
i dont get why you didn't just swap in a full y8 if your already rockin y8 internals and a y8 head? any reason, and didn't you rebuld this motor a while back? if so i would swap on a cleaner head than that to go with the fresh rebuildIm already running Y8 internals, so my CR is bumped up alittle compared to the Y7.
