Trying to get LEDs to come on when the doors open...

I've got a 1995 Honda Civic LX and I want two LED tubes to come on when I open the door. The lights will be right underneath the back seat, directing the light towards the floor. I was wondering what LEDs you'd recommend and how I would go about installing them. Any advice would be great, I'll be playing around with them next weekend when I have some free time.

The other question I have is if there's a way to hook those same tubes up to a switch up front that I could install on the dash or underneath it. Might I be able to use the existing overhead dome light switch to control them as well?

i would say use led strings/wires/strips....very small....bright enough....easy to hide. prob your best bet would be to wire to dome light.
