Painting stocky side skirts

hey guys due to the shity weather, i havent been able to get much done to the hatch as id like to, but iv been painting a few parts inside and out in the garage.

I've taken off the stock side skirts and my original idea was to colour code and paint them silver. at the moment the door handles are silver and the door trims are still black.

i just want your opinions because iv been looking at a few cars on here and some have done one or the other and i cant choose. Paint them black or colour code and paint them silver.
Both ways the door trim would be kept black. I'm respraying them anyways.

It would look kind of funny just having the side skirts painted and the moldings black. But if you are going to paint both, just do it now.

I actually think that would look sic if you kept the moldings black...what color are you wheels..?

funny you say that. i put on the 1st coat on the sideskirts and put it on quickly just to see what it would look like and it rele looks good.
i've got to get some more silver paint to do more coats. also im gona respray the mouldings gloss black.
atm i got some 5 spoke shity alloy stock wheels. but im planning on gettin some rota Slipstreams in black.

for the moldings bro...I would actually go with some trim paint....gloss black might be a bit much...IMO

Eran has painted sideskirts (and mirrors and plate garnish) and black moldings and door handles. It looks fine on his car.

well im going to see what it looks like in gloss 2day as im going to start preping the mouldings. i think they should look ok because they will have shine to the colour just like the silver. if it doesnt then ill sand it off and maybe use a diifferent colour,

Ok. Heres the pic with my painted skirts and the mirrors bk on. I had the stock ones on for a while wile i was painting these ones.
im going to get to work on the mouldings soon.

yeah i not sure atm. im getting some money on my bday so im getting black rota slipstream wheels, type r sets and possibly a spoon carbon spoiler, also i desperately need to get some amber corners. so ill see what it looks like with all that on then ill deside if im gona just repaint the mouldings or paint them silver.

u did a really good job on the color matching. i'd kinda recommend going the whole way with the silver. it'll look cleaner. jmy .02
