so if i wanna adjust when vtec kicks in, what do i buy?
Cheap way- MSD activation switch

expensive way- vtec controller

either way, they both suck and there's really no need to adjust your vtec, especially if your stock.

So if adjusting when vtec kicks in is junk on a basically stock engine, what about an engine with intake, headers and exhaust? would it be worth it to adjust when vtec kicks in?

no

imo, i/h/e on a stock engine is still stock to me. Adjusting your vtec because a i/h/e brought you from 120hp all the way to 122hp :shock: is pointless.

Do it bro, I would recomend having the following before you go for it;
i/e/h, intake manifold, tb and if you have the money, some cams and camgears as well, then, you will fell the difference.
