Whos using a headunit flip out screen?

I'm thinking about putting in a flip out screen head unit into my 04. The only thing I don't like about that is the screen (when opened) will cover the top vents.

For those who have it, what are the pros and cons to having the flip screen? I know I can fit a double DIN, but I don't want to spend a ton of money and I figure the flip screen at least hides away when closed for security reasons.

I've been thinking about getting one for ym DC5, solution for not having it block the HVAC controls is to mount it where the pocket is underneath where the headunit is now.

One solution would be to not use those vents...just select the setting that'll heat the foot wells and the side vents.

True, but I like keeping the stock pocket.

What lownotslow is saying is not really relocate, but put it in the pocket slot, and put the slot on top, looks kinda funky at first, but moves it down about 2 inches.
