the headlights ( black housing ) killed the ctr looks, get the real shinny gunmetal one OEM
your right, normally those would. Thats why I have the OEM CTR lights, genuine Stanley. They have the gunmetal hue to them, trust. Must have just came out bad in the pics I have posted.

Ok, I know I said critic harshly, but this is just getting frustrating with the headlights. Repeat: OEM JDM stanley EK9 headlights. Not fake, genuine. Gunmetal hue. Next to a black car, they might look slightly less conventionally JDM than next to a say...a Championship White paint job. The black paint of the car is making them look more black. They are legit JDM Honda designed units.
Sorry, I just wanted to further clear that up. I don't put rice on my car. But thanks for looking closely! Have a good day.

bump for a east coast !! and also a perfect example of a ek done right....
are their any future plans 4 this car??
Wow, what an awesome compliment! Thanks man.

As far as future plans: Everything got put to a near dead stop when my wife and I found out we were pregnant, with our first child, this past October. Were going to have to sell the car in a few months. We've decided to buy an Xterra. She needs something a little higher to just simply pass the baby over into the car. Were keeping her lame Accord, as a second "family car".

I was going to tackle the interior next, OEM red Recaros, carpet/mats, EK9 everything, minus the RHD conversion. Thats all their really is for the next owner to do. I hate to sell it, but it's been great fun to drive. Professional photo shoot some to come, first of Spring. Always loved the EK chassis hatch. All in all, I can always say that I "did it".

thank you sir! Yeah, baby girl on the way. Expecting late May/early June! Very excited. Felt her kick for the first time this past Monday night. I'll never forget it. What an undeserved blessing from God!

Hello to all. Been inactive on my thread for a while. Here's an update:

I have been concentrating on my driving skill: I went autocrossing for the first time with the Civic two weeks ago. It was a...humbling experience. Anyway, I have been studying Henry Watts book: "Secrets to Solo Racing". It's a great book, and I highly recommend this book to all of you. This weekend will be my next autocross event. I will try my best to get some pictures posted of the car "in action" for all of you guys to see. There are over 14 novices in my class this weekend. I hope to be near the top of this pack. Well see. I am in the Street Modified-Novice class, due to the "swap" of the B16A2. Good thing I'm a novice, otherwise I wouldn't stand a chance.... until my driving gets better!

In the meantime, check out the links below for pics of the car at the last event. By the way, second place car of the day (behind a MEAN Corvette Z06) was an '89 EF Civic hatch! Go HONDA!!! Man, that guy could drive!!

Peace

Thanks for the comments bro. Yeah, engine bay would look a lot better with a supercharger! If I keep it, this will be the next power upgrade. However, good chance we might still be selling it. Wife HATES the car! I'm sure we've all heard that one. I'm going to do everything in my power to keep it. We'll see what happens.

Looks great bro, I wouldn't change a thing..!

Not to be a d**k but...those definitely aren't real deal CTR headlights. You can see the spot in the corner lens for the USDM reflector.

these are the real ones:

word. I discovered that shortly after arguing my point about them being OEM stanleys. I stand corrected, forgive me. They were on the car when I bought it, and I made sure to look for the "Stanley" on the lens. While they are OEM lights, they were apparently a DIY job from USDM versions. They are a flat black paint, but the underside of the plastic cover is slightly dirty, so it gives them an unusual hue at times, which looks more gunmetal-ish. This is why I was fooled for so long. My man pointed out that they were'nt CTR's about two weeks ago. It ate at me, I researched it, and was then frustrated to find that he was right!! AHHHH!! Oh well, if I keep the car, this will be something to fix ASAP. Thanks for noticing imperfections. I love the color of your sedan, by the way. Car looks great!
