i wouldn't really consider a bolt in cage to be structurally sound to begin with, at least not enough to strap myself to it

wow.... you are lucky to be alive. i have never seen or herd of an engine coming out like that. thank god your ok
I've heard of it happening before, but it only seems to happen in situations that are high speed with very hard collisions. The only photos I've ever seen of it were only cars that had been street racing.

There was a thread a while ago with a civic/integra whose b series engine was thrown out of the car.. Header still attatched and all

Wondering if speed, street racing or what caused the wreck other then the back in hit a dip???

thats for another thread. there r so many things youre life depends on that are held together by bolts. :cool:

Damn motor flies out over 100 feet damn that has to be massive impact. That sucks well glad ur kool start a new car.

s**t. talk about surprised when i was reading. but ur ok. everything will work out as long as u didnt get injured. that is just f**kin crazy though.

damn..just by looking at the car, I wouldn't have thought that person would've lived to see another day..thank god you're okay...poor car though...good think you sold all those parts huh??!!!

Yep.. I think I even remember a red vc :lol:
..and someone saying "Guess they should have gotten the hasport mounts" after the photochopping had begun..

i think the car had to be goind at an extremly high speed, i think it prolly fliped and tossed around a few times. i also think that, in ordder for a egine to come off the bay, it would have to have some sorta whiping force. Or maybe the engine wasnt bolted down right.
