Hey guys i been on this site for a while and i think its about time i start a build up thread showing the progress of my car.
I first got the car in may 2007. The current mods on the car was:
stainless steel brakes lines at the front.
wilwood brake bias
front and rear camber kit (not sure which brand it was)
custom 2.25 exhaust straight through to a barrell
tokico illuminas to the front ( the ones on the back were dead )
blue/green lit gauge cluster
It also came with everthing for the rear disc conversion, well alomost because it didnt come with the rotors. The engine it came with was the stock D16y7. Pretty much everything else was stock. Here is what it looked like when i first brought it home.
So after about a week or so i got enough money to get the suspension sorted out so it could be fit to drive it around without all that rattling from the dead rear shocks. So i went out an purchased some Dropzone coilovers and put them on some KYB G2-Rs. I then installed some 17 inch rims that i had previously owned.
Ok so here are couple shots of what it looked like after a wash with the rims installed:
After this it was quite a long period before any mods came. The i got my poineer mp3 deck that i ordered i have no pics of it i will take some soon. i also bought an ebay steering wheel i will alost take some shots of that an post up. That was it for quite some while.
So here are just a couple random cell phone shots:

After another long period of jus doing tons of research on what i would like to do next. I was going to an engine swap but it was kind of hard to locate an engine giving that i live in the caribbean so hence shipping would be a b***h and the ppl here that do sell engine swaps sell them quite expensive. So after long consideration i decide that i would boost my D16. Alot of time went into researching this what parts to go with and what are the better brands to choose from. As this is my first real build it too alot more reading and this site also helped me alot. During this time of researching my clutch went so since i was planning on boosting soon i thought that this would be the perfect oppertunity to strengthen up my drivetrain. So i went out and ordered an ACT clutch kit with Performance street disc and xtreme pressure plate. While at it i also bought a Streetlite ACT 11.9lb flywheel and a Fidanza short shifter. I also took this time to increase my stopping power. So some Brembo blank rotors and some hawk pads seemed to be the most cost effective way of doing this so i went with the set up.
Currently i working and tryin to piece together a turbo kit my self. Some of the parts are ordered already:
intercooler and piping with all hoses and clamps
DSM 450 injectors ( i have to get some clips and a resistor box so if any one has any forsale shoot me a pm)
Fuel pressure regulator
Greddy Emanage Ultimate
I plan on rebuilding the whole engine so i am goin to buy a rebuild kit from http://fjdistributors.com he has some pretty good stuff. I also plan on getting some vitara pistons with special I-beams from him also. I am currently awating arival of the I-beams to place my order.
