i never said they were fake, i said they were ugly
damn it LongGrain....you were right! I can see black barbecue paint starting to strip inside there! It was a pretty good DIY job though, I must admit. Previous owner "got me". Ok, I'll spring for the DEPO versions when I get a chance. ;)

I wanted to thank everyone who has shown support for my project, throughout the course of my build, and also now with my current ROTM endeavor. It looks as if the car will be listed for sale within a few weeks. So, this contest will be her "swan song". It has been a blast, and I am blessed to have had this car for the last 7 months. Hopefully, the build will continue for the next owner in a fashion that honors Honda's incredible sense of style and performance. I have included some more recent shot's for your viewing pleasure. Thanks again to all!

Here's what happens in an EK when you accelerate out of an off-caster turn BEFORE you totally have your wheels straight. Rather embarrassing. Remember: wheels straight, THEN throttle out.

And a repost of my favorite:D

Ok, well, its a sad day, but I must make everyone aware that we sold the hatch about a week ago. The hatch was sold to a very cool dude, locally, and I am confident that he will take car of it. Maybe he'll start a new thread on this site, who knows!

Here are some pics of "D-Day" for your amusement.

you can't see it from this angle, but how I'm feeling... :flush:

However, with the money earned from the sale of the hatch, we did the following:

(1) For the family:

We bought a SWEET 2003 Nissan Xterra. I mean, it's the butter biscuit man!! It has a brushgard, rear
tail light gaurds, new tires, perfect paint, forever black'd trim, mint interior and engine, PIMP!!

(2) For me:

We bought a 1987 Honda Civic RT-AWD Wagovan!! Because I wanted a NEW project.

(3) Put the leftover money in savings for the baby.

So, it worked out really well for both parties. He assured me he wouldn't rice it out. I should have made him sign a contract! Nah, seriously, he is a very cool and level-headed guy. He'll treat the EK right.

For those interested in my new Wagovan project, please follow my new build thread in the 4th gen section, since that's as low as we go around here (for now!), at the following link:

Once again, thanks to all for your support and help on my EK build.

For the EK build,

Peace out!,

Dan T.

Sad to see it go, but you definitely did things right and treated the car good. Hopefully the next guy will do the same!

And congrats to you and your wife. =)
