Spedometer needle jumping?

My spedometer needle is jumping around like crazy and will sometimes spin all the way around. I will be going like thirty and says eighty. Could there be a loose wire or has anyone else had this problem.

Make sure theres no water up in the plug. I got water in mine once, and I was going 40mph, and it was jumping from 0 to 80 and back. Sometimes it would just stop working, sometimes it worked just fine. So I unplugged it, blew all the water out,and it worked fine.

yup speed sensor mine is doing the samee but it doesnt bother me because i dont speed
