that vacuum manifold is clearly low quality, dude. nylon instead of brass fittings is wack. u should try and get brass barb fittings to change those out. nylon snaps.

i agree with kyle, changing out those barbs would be a quick, easy and smart fix, and that oil feed adapter works great, EFHondaEF and I used it when we did a junkyard turbo kit on the a6 that was in his crx, worked perfectly, and easy to install, we also got it from Tunertoyz.

ok. thats is a known fact. its a simple property of metal. i dont need a d-series civic forum online to tell me that. Just like Titanium being the strongest metal, pound for pound. Its a fact. But why do you need a "strong" flywheel? How would you see it possible for an aluminum one to bend, or crease? Do you actually think thats possible?

no not really....but just the fact of knowing its stronger makes me choose chromoly over aluminum.....

also on aluminum flywheels those little screws in the plate of the flywheel scare me....hearing its possible that the heat can cause it to seperate at those screws.....

so i assume that you will be replacing your engine block with a steel one, right? That block is going to take much more abuse that the flywheel will.

Also, if you are worried about screws backing out, please be sure to use a LOT of thread lock on your pressure plate bolts....they will get just as hot, and they are bolted directly to the flywheel.

o well....i just read on a couple other sites that chromoly steel is stronger than aluminum.....so i went with that......it was the same price for either flywheel so why not go with the stronger one??

because the aluminum one is made my Fidanza. Fidanza makes REAL parts, for REAL cars. They do real Research & Development. Not just manufacturing.

Do you have any idea what those screws are there for? You're gonna love this. Those screws hold the icredibly strong 1045 steel clutch mating surface onto the 6061 T6 aluminum outer ring. That 6061 T6 aluminum ring is fantastic for strength, heat dissipation and of course reduction in weight. And those little screws you are worried about are military grade aerospace fasteners. Another great thing about the screws is that it makes the friction plates 100% replaceable.

The reason i get on you so much is because you rely WAY too much on those D-Series.org guys for your information. They seem to not like anything that costs more then what they can afford. It seems that you read their words as gospel and i want you to start doing your own research. Research the facts. and when those facts are presented....THINK about them. I'm sure if you had done that, you'd tell those clowns that an aluminum based flywheel is for many reasons better then a chromoly flywheel.

BTW, i am using a 8lb steel flywheel on my CRX. I went with it because i bought it from a friend who 1.) needed the money, and 2.) sold it to me cheap. If i wasnt put in the situation i was in, i definately would have gotten the Fidanza flywheel.
