or it wasnt in all the way......
hmmm, now that i think of it, youre right,
once thats on, it shouldnt pop out...
unless he broke another one, which i doubt.
im saying
once the nut is back on , ist in for good man.
like i said, thats weird that happend.
i would guess it had to be an axel
that was too short. or it broke at the shalft.
weird.
take some pics of it if you can erik.
im curious.

it is the right axle, i know that much. at this point i'm not even trying to blame the shop but i've been told that it probably wasnt popped in all the way in. it didnt pop out completely as in i'm dragging it or anything. part of it is still inside the tranny but i cant get the rest of the f**ker to pop in. the other thing is that i cant pull it out enough to look inside to make sure i didnt break the clip. i gotta grab a 32mm socket to break the axle nut loose.

sucks i got class tonight so i'm stuck taking the bus and waiting until the weekend to figure something out.

How long was it between the shop and it popping off? I don't get how it's not their fault if they just replaced it.

same day, not even an hour after they installed it. i was heading home from the shop when it happened.

And they couldn't tow it back to the shop and fix it for free for you right afterwards?

I woulda been bitching!

that was an option they gave me when i called them that day.

the problem is that i'm always counting pennies at the end of the month. all my bills fall on the last two weeks of the month. credit cards pretty much maxed out, and my savings is measly. if i woulda towed it to the shop, and it ended up being a major repair i wouldnt have the money to have it fixed.

i crossed my fingers and towed it home in hopes that it was as simple as everyone said it would be.

my dad already gave me s**t all weekend over it. this was the final straw, i think i'm mos def parting it out even if it ends up being a small problem. at 22, struggling to get through school, i shouldnt be messing with modding a civic.

there is no "this is the perfect excuse to redo my suspension or get a tranny swap" for me.

i dont mean to sound like i'm bitching at anyone but my friend doesnt seem to get it. i dont have money to do s**t to my car. i was banking on the hopes that NOTHING would happen to it this year. it sucks when something like this goes down and my parents dont wanna help me out. little brother gets things just by asking and they'll leave my ass stranded on the highway while i hope one of my friends answer their phones.

Like John told you on the phone Saturday Erick, it could be that they gave you the wrong axle and unless someone has air tools to start from the tire, its completely hopeless unless you talk to the guys at the shop and say they may have f**ked up somewhere.

Don't let this small little thing stop you from the passion you have for your car. Hang in there and keep it. Because if you try to give it up now later on down the road your gonna have a higher monthly payment and higher insurance for another car. Or the other option... your gonna be depending on people for rides or public transportation. There went your freedom...

Your parents mean well by what they tell you. They expect you to be independent and not rely on them. If they are gone, whom else do you have to bail you out of situations? It's a matter of winging it through life. So what you can do is go back to the "ramen noddle" stratagey and save money out the ying yang to pay off what ya can. But you have to remember, you can't rely on credit cards.

I'm debating weather or not I want to have my front bumper repainted for Automotion. The previous owner left some scuff marks on it.
