CTR style seats

Ive been wanting to put a set of racing seats in my '03 EX for quite some time now. The lumbar support on my stock seats kills my back on drives that are longer than an hour. The problem is that racing seats can get so damn expensive. I was looking for some input on anyone who has, has had, or has heard about the CTR style seats.

i hear that the nrg ctr style are pretty comfy. nrg makes quality stuff so there you go. and i believe theyre reclinable 2.

/\ Thats why Im trying to get some input, I probably wont be taking my car to a track for quite some time, so these seats will mainly be for comfort and looks until then, when I start taking my car to a track (after I swap) then I will probably have safer seats in anyway.

yea i had those seats in my 98 ex and i HATED them, they are flimsy and not very comforatble, i must admit they do look nice though

i think JHP sells them 1 for 299, as apposed to CMR development who sells them 379 for 2 seats. either way, i like my prelude seats more than those.

i have a set of NRG CTR knockoffs

pros-
Look good
feel great
matches my CTR shift boot & CTR momo steering wheel

cons
fitment is off with my weapon-r brackets
since the fitment is off, they shift a little during braking, cornering, accelerating
my passenger seat was not properly built (the recline is messed up and bounces)
they are not DOT approved


Honestly, i would save and but a recaro or similar racing seat. or get some del sol/rsx/s2k/gsr/usdm itr seats. your better off in the long run.

So for those of you who would not reccomend the CTR style seats, what seats WOULD you reccomend? Remember, right now Im looking for comfort and affordability. My girlfriend lives an hour away and the lumbar support kills my back.

if your willing to take the risk, get some knock off. like i said, Mine are comfy. But for 300 a set, I got what I paid for. rsx/S2k/del sol seats are prolly the next comfy as far as OEM. i would go recaro if you got the money, at least driver side.
