high beams and low beams

need relay help


so i got a set of hid's and i have them only working on my low beams only, when i turn on my high beams the hid's turn of. i need help wiring up a standard automotive relay so that when i turn on high beams the hid's stay on...

do you really need your high beams since you have h.i.d's. i would think that they would be bright enough on low. did you just put them into your stock housing without a proper retrofit?

even if you wire them up like you want, the light wont get any brighter when you switch over to the highbeam circuit. so what your trying to do really wont help you.

Depends on what year civic you have...

What you could do, is just get the power to your ballast from the parking lights and then just ground them through the headlight socket.

there H4 Hid no Retro fit needed. for a 96 hatch

not trying to get a high/low set up just dont want them to turn off when i flick the high beams

what hes telling you is yes you do need a retro fit because HID are meant to go in projector headlights regardless of the bulb style, putting HID in a regular reflective housing creates glare.
