Hey, just have a quick question for you...how did you go about wiring the projectors for the high beams...?

thanks guys
pete-the fx's are great.
basically i followed THIS diagram . but instead each ballast has its own relay and fuses. so that if i run into some trouble i will have at least one light to get me home(hopefully). as far as the high beams i went to radioshack and bought (6) 1N5404 diodes. and soldered them in so that the low beam stays on when the high beam solenoid is powered.
they do sell premade bi-xenon harnesses for like $50 or so. if i had to do it again id def buy one. just to save some time and headaches between soldering crimping heat shrinking and wire looming everything.

Exactly why I was asking...

The only thing that seems to trip me up...is that my HID kit doesn't connect to the battery at all. It gets its power off of the headlight harness.....

I'm sure i'll hit you up on AIM about this...

sure hit me up
have you ever wired up any radios or anything. cause its basically the same concept. the relay is your head unit. it has constant power goin to it, a ground, and a trigger to turn it on. and then your remote wire is what powers up your amp(ballast) not sure if that helps you but thats the way i related it to make it seem easier. check out the 12 volt it helps.

Yeah, I've been doing car audio/video installations since I was 14....installed countless number of systems, amps, headunits, monitors, etc...I just never took the time to learn about relays.

I understand now.

:thumbs up
