he said the shop gave you a good price.
he use to do them for 500 in Va.
and most shops charge about 6-8(depeneding on car and kit)
so, he prolly wont do nothing less then 400.
ist a kit from like greddy or a reputable company?.
internal or ex wastegate?
turbo size, will it let you keep a.c and p.s?
turbo, does it come with coolant lines?
diffent peices put together, or all from one company?
ecm/fuel management?
turbo, timmer and control?
what about dump and down pipe?
what about clutch and fly?
what car was the kit on before?
he doesnt have a welder.
1. its a piece kit that was installed on a d16y8 in a coupe like mine
2. internal wastegate
3. garrett t28 with dual turbines (def keep ps...not sure about ac)
4. yes has coolant lines
5. diff pieces (like i said they all came from the same person who had it on his car .... highwaystar's kit)
6. p28 ecu w. basemap 255pump and dsm 450 cc blacktops
7. manual boost controller included....no turbo timer (thats not completely necessary of the bat)
8. dp included (just need a flnage welded to connect to cat
9. stock clutch for now till it breaks
10. it was on a d16y8 engine...completely stock like mine. didnt even have ecu/pump/injectors/ just an fmu
considering this...i dont think it would be too hard to install...more of like knowing what to do. the only real work is the flnage and oil pan....everything else should really be just a bolt in type of thing. grewson is pretty trustworthy..he said it took him 4 hrs to do it and one day his first time around with no experience.
its 400 bucks to do it at the shop not ocunting the week lost of work, the days i wont have my car etc.
