....its the same engine, D16y8, just the manual will be more responsive to what you want it to do and has more room for potential.

Manual for some odd reason..

Maybe because the 1st and 2nd in a manual tranny are shorter then those in a auto trany?

manual because the automatic shifts at like 6500 rpms or something lower than redline, and it shifts slower than one could in a manual

What, you gotta be kidding?

Am I going to have to turn this in to a math question? If 2 cars have the same engine, but the manual takes a small lead. How is the auto ever going to catch up?

i beat my friend in his standard 98 civic coupe ex with my automatic 98 civic ex..it was a close race i beat him by a bumper n we are both stock..lol yes a slow race i know
