Are rocking low position seat rails / seats? More specifically in the 96-00' civics, but I suppose any civic year will work. It doesn't really matter what kind of seat it is, but moreso just the "low position". Do you like it / hate it / what are drawbacks / etc.?

When I put my stock si seats in my car instead of my Recaro's they were so much higher up in the air. I loved being lower, and in the FG2 your practically on the floor. I'd say if your six foot tall, your pros will heavily outweigh the cons

I agree. But maybe airbag deployment would be the only con?

why not find integra seats? they sit lower and are cheap and oem!

AND! for op, I love it. makes me feel small in the car haha and im a pretty beefy guy, no issues with being able to see or anything.

I want low seat rails. Can you seat factory seats into low rails? I love when you see a car drive by and you can only see the guys head when you look through his side windows. It looks hilarious but cool all at the same time, haha.

most seat rails are catered toward universally to either sidemount or bottom mount aftermarket seats. aftermarket seat companies comply with each other on standard mounting points for either side or bottom mount, OEM seats dont have these universal mounting points, so no, i dont think your stock seats will mount up to aftermarket seat rails

i have buddy club super low down race spec seat rail with a side mount bucket, i LOVE it.

bump for sparco rails.. i have them and they sit nice and low.. well at least lower than my stock seats.

yeah guys what would you suggest? i picked up a corbeau FX1 locally, and i definitely need the extra head room ( im 6"2)

i heard i can also just mod my own rails, but wont it still be too high?

I haven't been able to find any lowering rails for a stock seat and believe me I've been looking, I barely fit in the car when I'm wearing my helmet for Auto-X.

Only solution I've found is a complete custom job or getting a new seat and rails from an aftermarket company.

blah, I guess i'll leave it for now and consider aftermarket seats down the road.

Although, I hear memoryfab.com does "custom" orders.
